Mark is a long-time analyst and consultant on the government and contracting arenas.
Mark began his career as an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Department of Defense. He subsequently worked as a journalist and editor covering the government and technology fields for various publications. Mark now applies those same skills and experience he developed as an intelligence analyst and as a journalist to the fields of market intelligence and market research to the ultimate benefit of our customers.
Before starting Panoptes Intelligence Mark also acquired a broad and deep range of experience in the areas of defense, intelligence, and cybersecurity as a Defense Analyst at Jane’s Information Group, Principal Consultant at FedSources (now part of Deltek GovWin), Research Manager at IDC - Government Insights, and Director of Research at NTT-DATA Federal (formerly Keane Federal). In addition, he has worked as an independent consultant for numerous government contractors.
Mark Kagan, has a deep background and experience in international military, political, and business affairs (primarily the Middle East) that began with his academic career and has continued over the years in his professional work at the U.S. Department of Defense, at Jane’s Information Group and the International Strategic Studies Association, as well as a journalist, analyst, and consultant. Mark has also appeared as an analyst on CNN, Fox News, Al-Jazeera America, and CCTV.
